Welcome to the Satellite Autism Academy, an initiative by Prajha Trust designed to empower parents as essential advocates and supporters for their children with learning disabilities. Satellite Autism Academy is committed to providing comprehensive training, resources, and support to ensure parents have the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the unique challenges of raising a child with autism.
Need for satellite Special Education Centres
Transportation is a significant challenge for children with special needs, particularly when they are required to travel long distances every day to access education and therapy services. Frequent and lengthy travel can be difficult for children and their families and may affect regular attendance, daily routines and continuity of educational and therapeutic support.
This highlights the importance of having Special Education Centres within or closer to each town, so that children can access education, therapy and skill-development services nearer to their homes.
The availability of such town-based Special Education Centres can reduce the burden of daily long-distance travel and make essential educational and therapeutic services more accessible to children with special needs and their families.
